In December of 2023, Angus Davies took a look at our recently introduced model line Zeitwinkel 188° MAKS. Having visited our manufacture in Saint-Imier several times, Angus has a deep understanding of our philosophy and our traditional manufacturing methods.

“The brand places much emphasis on hand decoration. The ultimate expression of finishing is black polishing, a technique that involves painstakingly rubbing parts against glass (some firms use a zinc plate), smeared with diamond paste ... During a recent visit, I witnessed the company’s watchmakers diligently perform these tasks by hand. It is clear the brand doesn’t countenance the idea of shortcuts.”
