We have also concentrated on the absolute essentials with the hands of our Zeitwinkel 312°. Carefully balanced and produced according to our design in one of the best specialized manufactures in Switzerland, hour and minute hands make their rounds. Precisely coordinated to the indexes and the minute markers, always making the time easy to read.
To facilitate this even in varying lighting conditions, we have diamond-cut our hands, meaning that we have equipped them with two flat surfaces angled to one another over almost the entire length of the hand. This ensures that one side of the hand always reflects incident light in such a manner that there is a strong contrast to the dial.
We intentionally did not coat our hands with a fluorescent compound. Had we done so, we would have had to compromise, not only in the readability during the day, by lack of the diamond-cut – but also in the design. And that's where we get very particular.
